this site's webhost! it's fairly popular & has a very welcoming community :) it's free and has a pretty easy to figure out interface. i don't think it's development is very active, and it has a lot of limitations, but it's an amazing starting off point.

NEKOWEB.ORG
another good static webhost, very similar to neocities. i personally haven't used it, but i've heard good things about it. it has some other features neocities is lacking (check their FAQ for details) but not anything necessary for me since i'm already comfortable with neocities.

HTML CHEAT SHEET
HOOOOLLLY crap this site is so good. html, css, AND javascript cheatsheets that are SUPER robust, documentation, templates, and links to even more sites with helpful tools. AMAZING jumping off point for your website.

W3SCHOOLS
a classic and a really good reference i keep open every time im coding

MDN WEB DOCS
another good html/css learning resource, this time from mozilla

BORDER-IMAGE GENERATOR
i. spent. Hours. manhandling css trying to get the image borders on my pokemon page to LOOK CORRECT and i dont know why i didnt just look up border image generator before wasting my time doing that lol

solid spotify downloader! this isn't really for audiophiles, it only downloads from youtube @ 128kbps. but like! i think the convenience makes up for it! i've had a bit of trouble getting all 2k+ of my liked songs to download in one sitting but that's understandable lol

FILEOPTIMIZER
youll never guess what this one does.. anyway this is a super super useful program that supports a TON of file types. plus its really easy to use its just drag n drop hit optimize and let it chill in the background. i love itttt. fair warning a couple gifs i've dropped in there Did get a bit doinked so let it make backups of your stuff just in case. ya never know

QBITTORRENT
NOT to be confused with the original bittorrent, which you should avoid like the plague. qb is open source with no ads. and unlike pretty much every other torrent client it doesn't pump your computer full of adware on install

FITGIRL REPACKS
fitgirl takes game cracks & compresses 'em real good, which is really great when you have slower internet but still wanna torrent stuff, or use less bandwidth. but if you're like me and thats not much of an issue, may i suggest as well:

STEAMRIP
good source for cracks, while ive personally only downloaded a couple cracks from here it's pretty legit. a lot of people will suggest 1337x, but the moderation on there is kinda questionable (igggames literally uploads malware onto there all the time apparently??) so i recommend steamrip instead
